Lucifer the morning star. Lucifer the light bringer. Lucifer as Venus. Lucifer, the mythological parallel to Prometheus, who was outcast for trying to wrest power from the hands of a tyrannical god and pass the flame to humanity. Lucifer who bears a strikingly similar, albeit controversial, storyline to that of Christ.
Working with Lucifer
Lord Lucifer’s positive influence began about a week before I even made initial contact with him. With neither self-declaration nor effort, I quit smoking weed and have been without it for two years since, save for very rare social occasions since.
My first formal invocation was nothing short of profound. After reciting his mantra 108 times using mala beads, I experienced a surge of overwhelming emotion that brought me to tears of joy.
Despite his intense presence, I felt no fear. His energy is warm and coupled with a feeling of protection and assurance.
Lord Lucifer can help to cultivate healthy boundaries both with oneself and with others. He can shine his light on sources of pain that you need to let go of in order to heal.
He can help you to realise that it’s impossible to save or convince anyone of anything. If someone is not ready for truth, they will refuse to hear it. This only creates unnecessary stress for all involved. People need to figure it out in their own time.
As with most of the entities I work with, I tend to just wing it and do what feels right when working with Lucifer. The most important thing is to approach him with respect and appreciation. The best offering is one that comes from the heart which, more often than not, is a genuine desire to learn and grow. That said, there are a few ritual specifics that I tend to gravitate towards observing more often than not:
- Mantra: Renich Tasa Uberaca Biasa Icar Lucifer
- Tarot card: King of Pentacles, Ace of Air
- Candle: Organic beeswax pillar candle, annointed with olive oil
- Incense: Frankincense
- Day: Friday or Sunday
- Metal: Silver
- Offerings: Chocolate, coffee, dark tea
